The sweet transformation of Givenchy lipstick
How would you like to try a chocolate dessert thats inspired by your favorite shade of lipstick? Check out this special collaboration between LOTTE HOTEL and Givenchy, a luxury beauty brand.
Taste has finally met style. LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL’s Peninsula Lounge & Bar has introduced a new dessert in collaboration with Givenchy, a French beauty brand. The dessert has been designed in homage to Givenchy’s classic “le rouge” lipstick. Chef Na Sung-joo, IKA World cooking Olympic gold medalist, was involved in the creation of the desserts.

But of course, most Givenchy lipsticks are not the same color as chocolate, so the designers of this dessert had to work hard on recreating the classic Givenchy shades. You’ve probably never seen chocolate in colors this strong. “Red lip chocolate,” served in the shape of lips and made with ganache cream chocolate from Valrhona, a French premium chocolate, is just as fascinating as the Givenchy lipstick it takes its color from. “Three-tone lipstick jelly,” a tribute to Givenchy’s three new lipstick colors, is recreated with raspberry, strawberry and blueberry flavors and “Raspberry guimauve,” made of French raspberry puree, are two other must-try desserts. Desserts that look as beautiful as these high-end beauty items are sure to please your eyes and tastebuds.

Eye-catching, mouth-watering desserts in red

The entire dessert range created with Givenchy, “2019 Must Be Le Rouge,” is an afternoon tea set that can be tried at Lotte Hotel Seoul Peninsula Lounge & Bar from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30. Aside from the three lipstick-inspired desserts, other treats like St. Honore cake topped with mango cream-filled choux, chocolate canneles and panna cotta made with red current puree are also available. During this promotional period, desserts will be served on a tea tray specially designed by Givenchy.
