LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL and LOTTE HOTEL WORLD introduce the Strawberry Buffet, where customers can enjoy as many strawberry-based dishes as they want. This is a sign that the season for strawberries has arrived.

At some point, strawberries became a fruit you can enjoy throughout the year. In Korea, strawberries are now seen as a winter fruit, but they are naturally harvested between March and May. Strawberries can now be enjoyed in the winter thanks to the advancement of greenhouse technology.
Due to this, strawberries are now better known as a winter fruit here in Korea. As the weather turns cold, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes all start offering new promotions centered around strawberries.
Five-star hotels in Korea have been leading that trend by introducing their strawberry desserts every year. Through their patissiers, LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL and LOTTE HOTEL WORLD have once again prepared their Strawberry Buffet this year, and this time it starts a month earlier.

Dine out on strawberries at the LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL
One of the most eye-catching promotions at the LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL is probably “2020 Must be Strawberry,” a collaboration event with luxury cosmetic brand Chantecaille, held at the first floor Peninsula Lounge & Bar.
From Dec. 6 to April 30, 2020, the LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL will be selling the “strawberry afternoon tea set,” which includes strawberry dacquoise, made up of strawberry layered on top of chocolate mousse, green tea red bean mousse with strawberry jelly and 10 other strawberry desserts served on a three-tier tray.
Each dessert is decorated with the image of an endangered animal, created by LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL’s chef Nam Seok-woo. Desserts can be enjoyed with Ronnefeldt, luxury German tea, and coffee. It costs 67,000 won for two people (including tax and service charge).

Each table includes a welcome tray, which has six mini desserts. It costs 59,000 won per adult and 33,000 won for children aged from 4 to 12.
To further raise awareness of six endangered animals, an augmented reality mobile app called “Chantecaille Wild Beauty” will be available.
